Ban Those Bottles

With the New Year just a couple of weeks away, it’s a great time to start thinking about those resolutions. But instead of just sticking to the usual goals of dropping a few pounds or hitting the gym, why not take one simple step that will help the environment, the health of your family and your pocketbook all at once?
I recently made the commitment to get rid of bottled water in my home for all of those reasons. Every year, about 1.5 million tons of plastic goes into manufacturing water bottles, and most of those bottles just end up in landfills. But even if you recycle, there are lots of other reasons to stay away from plastic bottles.
One is the price! According to Sierra Club’s research, the average cost of filtered water is only $0.13 a gallon, while the average cost of bottled water is a whopping $1.27 a gallon. That means that even if you spend the money to install a filtration system in your home like I did, you’ll end up saving money in the long run.
Also, many studies show it’s not healthy drinking out of plastic bottles. Harmful chemicals in the plastic like bisphenol A (or BPA) can leach into the water and make you sick. It’s much safer to drink out of glasses, aluminum bottles, or reusable BPA-free water bottles.
Here’s everything you could need to start living bottled water-free:
-Drinking water, shower or whole house filtration systems by Aquasana
-Brita filters, if you can’t making any changes to your actual faucet is too much of a commitment
-Reuseable, BPA-free water bottles
Will you give it a try?
XO, Denise

We have patented a Public Water Filter that incorporates a locking device that will allow only authorized personnel to open or change out the filter element once it has been installed. It is a perfect solution for public locations that are prone to vandalism and tampering.
Brown University and The University of Vermont have outright banned the sale of bottled water. Another 90 colleges have restricted the sales of bottled water. In place of bottled of water these institutions are placing hydration stations around campus so that the students have convenient locations to fill-up their reusable water container and stay hydrated.
Currently, security is an afterthought in these public water filtering stations; hence we are marketing our Public Water Filter to improve the security of all publicly deployed water filters.
I am “all in” on your cause and would like to help in any way I can.
